Founder of Hairsmiths
Deb Dominic has been in the industry for over 20 years. Starting out at Toni & Guy in Brighton, in the late nineties, she worked her way up to become a salon & academy educator, before founding her own business Hairsmiths in 2011. Beginning as one room with styling 5 positions.
Over the years, Hairsmiths has grown in presence and demand, winning an industry award in 2016, creating a name for themselves in the bridal industry. They have a catalog of beautiful weddings and mentions in a number of celebrated national wedding blogs.
Hairsmiths introduced beauty into their salon in 2017/18 and have worked over 10 seasons at London Fashion Week backstage and Milan Fashion Week in 2018. Deb incorporated the company and became a director at the start of 2019, expanding and moving premises to a four-floor, grade 2 listed building.
She hired more staff and launched the POP UP SPACE in November 2019 within the salon, so independent businesses could rent it out. Hairsmiths became the training base in the East for WELLA in December 2019 and set up THE STUDIO on the top floor, making it available to rent as a private space for aesthetic procedures & private clients (for personal or religious reasons), photoshoots and workspace or hotdesking for clients if needed.
