Well, summer was a beautiful one. We may not have had the endless sunshine of last year, but we did have a renewed energy of going outside & embracing some freedom.
We relaxed our attitudes a little & appreciated the important things like never before (including being able to get our hair/nails/brows/toes/etc sorted in salon haha!)
We could enthuse all day long about the millions of tips/tricks & products that we love within all things hair, but with the change of season imminent & a new approach holding hands with that change, we have put together a little list of what we feel are investments that’ll ensure success in the styling department.
Tools that we not only site as super “must have “ in salon, but are most definitely client friendly for home hair greatness.

We’ll start at the beginning with one of our favourite tools in salon, having evolved from the tangle teaser, we find this perfect for ease of use & an absolute must in the shower as the ergonomic handle makes comb out in water so much more effective & dropping it ten times avoided!
We also use it as a gentle detangler pre cleanse. By gently teasing any tangles out, working from the ends up to remove any knots & prep the hair for shampooing.
Post conditioning/ rinse comb out is what this is designed for & it comes into its own & used correctly, detangles hair with little friction & resistance.
We are going to up the nourishment in the product department with the change in temp, and along with that needs a tool to administer those good deeds.
Always gently does it & this is super gentle.

The diffuser is an absolute must for those that embrace & encourage natural texture, or that wish to “set” movement in a certain way without disturbing the hair.
The tool works by “diffusing” air flow from your dryer for a soft gentle result. Directional flow will manipulate the hair, this does the opposite & leaves it undisturbed in where it’s been placed, whilst drying effectively.
Also great for root lift & mega volume if the head is tipped “upside down” & the teeth positioned upward into the root.
This diffuser by label.m is great as it has a universal fitting that slots over just about any conventional dryer.
Benefit of this as we move out of summer, is that embracing natural texture will reduce friction damage & embrace the movement that could be caused by the damper climes.

So if we could pick one good all rounder to possess that could perform a multitude of tricks, then this would be the one.
It comes with a number of attachments, which cater for drying, curling, smoothing, waving & whatever else you can dream up!
Plus this is a content creators dream, so if you need inspiration on looks & quick tricks to create with this (for all the hair-chameleons) you won’t struggle to find suggestions!
Now, this is a heavyweight & you get what you pay for, so with the fact in mind that this is a luxury item, we always suggest telling loved ones you’re collecting vouchers (for birthdays & Christmas), OR we love it when clients buy themselves gift cards to stack up weekly/monthly to obtain one.
True to Dyson form, this causes next to no damage to the hair & is a total investment in haircare tool long term.

Just like using the correct haircare, using the correct tools create even greater results when prescribed to meet your needs!!
As your stylist what brush they would recommend to achieve the results you desire. They’ll be delighted to advise, as of course this will make their work look the way it was designed to look!

These combs are our absolute favourite in salon post bouncy blow dry.
The “comb out” has reached notoriety in the styling world & is the most mesmerising thing to watch on socials & tutorials. Transporting the hair from regimental waves, to soft natural movement that is flattering & glamorous.
It’s also ideal for creating wet look with its wide teeth & good for comb through with conditioning masks (must have in the autumn months).
A multitalented little tool, the Re-comb is made from 100% recycled plastic & has reached iconic status within our industry.
6. Accessories
Gentle but bold accessories Agreed, an accessory is not a tool, BUT somethings are totally necessary when we are talking hair & we believe adornments are a must for every situation haha! When picking anything that is gracing your hair, remember that being kind to it is of the utmost importance. And what’s kinder to hair i hear you say, well silk of course! Silk has a smooth surface, so reduces damage caused by tension & friction. A silk scarf can be used to tie hair in a low pony (instant glam), hide sneaky roots in a beautiful way (instant glam), protect edges from the elements by wearing as headscarf if you’re trying to go easy on the heat styling (instant glam) & the list goes on… Silk scarves are also a glorious pop of colour & an instant mood lifter when the light begins change in the autumn. As we know, the key to success is planning & organisation (well vision & hard work play a massive part too of course) & doing so with the tools that you use on your crowning glory will keep your processes streamlined & your pieces in optimum condition.
We love a storage solution that keeps your electricals separate from your brushes & your hairpins separate from your accessories.
Cleaning these pieces regularly, de-hairing them & making sure chords etc are not twisted, will mean that all your purchases will last longer & in turn, your hair greater f0r longer.
Approach this as we would in the salon: a place for everything & everything in its place.
