Dr Emma Amoafo-Mensah is a leading London based dermatologist and entrepreneur who graduated with a first-class honour from Imperial College London. Besides a medical degree, she has received a postgraduate certificate in medical education and bachelor’s in management. Her interest in the renovation of Africa has led to the creation of Friday Born Designs, a social enterprise founded in 2012, and has since then carried out projects and fundraised to improve infrastructure within communities in Ghana. Her work has been recognised as she was recently enstooled as Nana Nkosuohene Akwaa-Amoafo I of Awenade, Kwahu.
Hey Emma,
One thing I love about you is you have big dreams. I want you to hold on to those, and use them to craft your vision. What do I mean by vision? Vision is made up of those things God has dropped into your heart at such a young age and you don’t know why. Why you care so much about helping other people, why you don’t mind working so much harder in school than your friends. It’s cool, it’ll make sense later.
Don’t relent in giving, in supporting people. Keep doing it in secret because one day it will become public without you trying. Stay in your lane and do those things that feel right to your spirit.
