Big Horn
Kevin started his unisex eyewear designer brand in 2011. He has loved fashion since he was a teenager, which cultivated his passion for eyewear when he started to work in the eyewear industry, and turned his love for fashion and eyewear into a career, creating his own label.
His vision is to “Design for people.” He wants people to have more opportunities to wear fashionable and designer frames. He develops avant-garde and fashion-forward eyewear as unisex styles and began using sustainable materials for his collections in 2018.
He built a strong profile in the eyewear design world and his designs have won several awards and has collaborated with brands including Justice League and Swarovski.
The W: What do you think separates your business in the industry? How do you differ?
Kevin Ching: I think that eyewear is one of the important fashion accessories now. Design is very important for people. We are not only talking about the function of the eyewear itself, we are talking about the designs too. It is because designs could bring more happiness and improve our life and living standards too.
The W: What’s your biggest obstacle so far in the industry?
KC: The biggest obstacle is the changing trends. Many people love fast fashion but we develop designs that are more long-lasting. So people can enjoy new designs but it won’t have an impact on the earth, it’s a win, win.
