Kaye Holland
Journalist
Kaye was born and bred in Watford, a town labelled by Lonely Planetas “the kind of place that makes you want to travel.” They weren’t wrong: Kaye lived and worked as a writer in the Middle East, China, the Caribbean, Argentina and Hawaii before eventually returning to London, where she calls Brixton home.
Kaye has held senior editor roles at Time Out, The Telegraph, TNT Magazine, Just About Travel and Haute Living and written for a range of publications including The Times, The Daily Mail, The I, Insider, Culture Trip, The Sun and The South China Morning Postas well as working with tourism boards, charities, travel agencies, restaurants, hotels and small businesses – in addition to editing an array of books.
In September 2020, Kaye launched Away with Words, a copywriting company – producing the right words (or ‘copy’) to get YOUR message across – with her friend and former colleague at a national newspaper, Teresa Machan. When she’s not crafting words or seeking out her next travel adventure, you’ll find Kaye leading walking tours around London; cheering on her beloved Watford Football Club; campaigning for the Liberal Democrats; or co-presenting a community radio show.
