Before COVID came and messed up all our plans of going out, socializing, going on holiday and most importantly NETWORKING. So the use of Slack, Discord and other online communities such as them increased in users. Companies, charities and social clubs relied on them more than ever as WFH increased and lockdown had the cheek to actually happen.
Of course, in-person events were cancelled and the rise of virtual events was upon us where we were able to network with individuals within our industry or our interests. Personally, I didn’t like virtual events because I was really missing that in-person interaction but being a part of a discord group and slack channel really helped my networking game. So I bring to you online communities to consider joining.
