The Beauty of Being Different
Words Hannah George
Have you ever stopped to think that if we are all different why do we sometimes conform to normality? Why do we do what everyone else does? Why do we sometimes follow the patterns of life - without asking life questions?

We lose our essence of uniquenesses when we begin to compare ourselves with others. Let's think about this together. The first question we should ask ourselves is; why do we begin to diminish who we are and the greatness that is inside of us?
Sometimes it is the simple things that we may have or do naturally that we may look down on, such as our personality or the way we dress. Many people may not understand you and they may even criticise you, but guess what? That's you and somebody is counting on you to just be you. When we compare ourselves, it is usually because we don't understand why we are the way we are and the impact of simply being ‘ourselves’ has on the lives of others around us.

People love consistency, consistency of character, even consistency of a high-quality service in a business or anything! Can you imagine if McDonald’s, for example, kept changing its staple menu every time other fast food or restaurants changed something? Imagine having different types of strawberry milkshakes or fries every week! It would be very annoying, almost as if you couldn't rely on them, you would be annoyed, even upset! They would lose money, customers and trust.
Not everyone may love your personality but hey! Not everyone likes McDonald's, some people prefer Five Guys! But one thing we can be sure of is that people love consistency, that is not to say you can't change and improve certain aspects of your life and character, but having a stable character is attractive. Be bold in who you are, no matter what may come your way. Being bold is beautiful.

I am sure you may have heard of the concept that ‘when you get to the right door it will open for you’ but every door that is for you requires you to be you. Yes, with your ‘flaws’ with your mistakes, with your strengths, everything about you. If you are like someone else, how can you expect that door to open for you?
Trust the process, be you and be bold.
