Nastia Barkan

Nastia Barkan is a day to day manager at LA based artist management and social impact company Friends At Work. Born and raised in South West London, her love of music can be traced back to car rides listening to her father’s homemade classic rock mixtape, which included The Eagles’ “Hotel California”, possibly one of the subconscious motivators in her move to Los Angeles at age 18 to attend the University of Southern California.

She majored in Communication at the Annenberg School of Communication and Journalism, focusing her coursework, where possible, around music communication, in addition to minoring in both Music Industry at the Thornton School of Music and Italian at the Dornsife College of Letters Arts and Sciences. In her third year of university she began interning at Patriot Management, where she stayed on until completing her degree. There, she worked on acts including The Backstreet Boys, One Republic, Swedish House Mafia and Pharrell Williams as well as working for Patriot’s joint UK venture “MGMT 16'' at home in London during summers, where she assisted in tour managing the DJ duo Sigma’s European festival appearances and their Ibiza residency at Amnesia, in addition to working across the entire management roster.

After university she accepted a full- time position as day to day manager for Charlie Puth and continues to manage Charlie day to day, working across all aspects of his career.
